Education A relevant Diploma/Degree
Experience At least 10 – 15 years’ relevant experience in a refinery/petrochemical/chemical/pharmaceutical environment
Duties - Executing the assigned activities in accordance with the Discipline Guidelines, the PEP, the time schedule and cost requirements, following the instructions given by the Lead Instrument Engineer. – Keeping the L.E. informed on the Status of activities assigned to him. – Ensuring adequate flow of design information with the other members of the Job team. – Preparing, according to the sharing of the activities established by the L.E., General Specifications, Job Specifications, Design Calculations, Material Requisitions, Functional Specifications, Systems Configuration documents, Technical Evaluations of the Vendor bids, etc., following the Discipline Guidelines. – Submitting the prepared documentation to the approval of the L.E. according to the Table of Signature. – Checking the Design Calculations and the documents prepared by other Instrument Engineers, as assigned by the L.E. – Following the established work instructions. – Keeping design calculations, material requisitions, etc., filed according to the established filing procedures. – Observing the ethic of confidentiality on technologies licensed by Clients or Third Parties. – Give assistance in the preparation of Mechanical Catalogue. – Choosing the best solution from the technical and economical point of view in selecting Instruments and in designing systems. – Issuing the Quality Forms according to the Quality Assurance System Procedure both for System and on Contract. – Implementing the Corrective Action according to the Quality Assurance System Procedure both for System and on Contract. – When nominated by the Discipline Head, act as Quality Correspondent checking and/or approving documents as requested in the Contract Project Execution Plan through the implementation of proper check lists.
